Three of my botanical drawings will be shown in this exhibition as part of the Nature Festival South Australia. ‘Poetry of the Earth’ will be at the Fleurieu Arthouse in McLaren Vale, SA, from 8 October – 20 November, 2022.

I’m humbled to be awarded an Honourable Mention in the Celia Rosser Award at the opening of the 16th Biennial exhibition of The Art of Botanical Illustration held by the Friends of the Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne. My drawing of Pelargonium australe seed heads was also acquired for the State Botanical Collection, held in the National Herbarium of Victoria within the Melbourne Botanic Gardens.

I’m very pleased that 3 of my recent drawings have been selected for the prestigious exhibition, The Art of Botanical Illustration (TABI), held biennially by the Friends of the Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne. Work from around Australia and overseas will be shown in Domain House, Dallas Brookes Drive, adjacent to the Melbourne Botanic Gardens from 17 September until 2 October, 2022. More good news! My drawing of the White Waratahs ‘Shady Ladies’ has been selected as a finalist in this year’s Gallery M Contemporary Art Prize. The exhibition of finalists is part of SALA, and is showing in Gallery M at the Marion Cultural Centre from 5-28 August, 2022.

I am delighted to be selected as one of three finalists in this SALA Award for 2022. This and others of my recent drawings will be on display in Bold Botanicals in my Belair Studio as part of SALA. I am pleased to have 2 drawings in this inaugural exhibition and prize, to be held annually. I will be there for the opening on Sunday 17th July 2022, and hopefully those of you in the general vicinity can get there too! All commissions on sales will be donated to CanAssist Southern Highlands to help with their valuable work.

I have donated my drawing ‘Intermingle’ to the campaign #ArtforFloods to help communities, particularly artists, who have been devastated by the recent floods in NSW and QLD. In good news the Botanical Art Society of Australia is again exhibiting at the MIFGS after enforced cancellation of the show for the last 2 years! Go along to the Carlton Gardens from 30 March to 3 April to see my drawing of the Black Kangaroo Paw and other artworks from BASA and other art groups on the upper level of the Royal Exhibition Building. All work is for sale! And in late news, my drawing has been given a Highly Commended Award by the Society!!
